What is rush?
Rush is a series of events which showcase Mu Pi Chapter. It is an opportunity for potential members to see if Alpha Kappa Psi is a right for for them, and allows potential members to meet brothers.
Who can rush?
In short, anyone! Alpha Kappa Psi accepts both woman and men as members, and does not require a specific major. Mu Pi chapter is a diverse group originating from many different backgrounds.
Why rush Alpha Kappa Psi?
Alpha Kappa Psi is the oldest and foremost business fraternity in the world. Brothers have ample opportunity to further their careers due to an alumni network consisting of over 300,000 professionals in every industry. Alpha Kappa Psi offers leadership experience and personal development opportunity through the many events Mu Pi Chapter holds. But perhaps most importantly, our brothers form friendships which last a lifetime. We are a tight-nit group of friends all wroking to better ourselves and our communities.
When/how will I know that I received a bid?
Alpha Kappa Psi brothers will contact you February 16, 2018 to inform you of whether or not you received a bid.
If I did not receive a bid my first time rushing, can I rush again?
Absolutely! If you didn't receive a bid your first time rushing, don't be discouraged. We have several members that have rushed two or three times before receiving a bid.
Do Mu Pi Chapter brothers pay dues?
Yes, brothers pay dues each semester. These dues are substantially smaller in size than those of social/Greek fraternities and sororities.
Can I join a social fraternity/sorority and Alpha Kappa Psi?
Yes! We have several brothers that split their time between social organizations and Mu Chapter. While we do consider ourselves to have a strong brotherhood we by no means discourage involvement in other organizations.
